Trent LaMont

Trent’s expertise is notable through his substantial experience with OMIC R&D, where he has been deeply involved in a variety of research initiatives. Trent also has a rich history of involvement with Oregon Aero, where he digitized old seat plans for coal cars. Earlier in his career, he operated a CNC embroidery machine and a laser engraver/cutter semi-professionally, roles that laid the groundwork for his current path.

Trent contributed to in-machine testing for a published paper on Biomedical Bone Drilling—a testament to his exceptional technical skills. Additionally, Trent was chosen as the student speaker representative for his college at Oregon Tech’s Commencement for 2023, a distinct honor that underscores his leadership and exemplary academic performance.

Away from the lab and workshop, Trent is an avid kayaker and snowboarder, appreciating the thrill and serenity that these outdoor activities offer. He continues to fuel his love for design and manufacturing through FDM printing and digital design work in his free time. A connoisseur of live music, Trent never misses a chance to enjoy a great performance.
