Taylor Schaming
Taylor’s primary area of research focus lies in subtractive machining, where she explores innovative techniques to enhance manufacturing processes. Her academic pursuits are complemented by a number of practical experiences in both academic and industrial settings.
Taylor’s journey in manufacturing began with her role as the Boeing Team Lead for Gearbox Assembly, where she demonstrated exceptional leadership and expertise in ensuring the smooth operation of assembly processes. Additionally, she gained valuable experience through the Boeing High School Tech Prep Internship, focusing on machining. Over the years, Taylor has worked in various job shops, where she operated conversational lathes, routers, CNC mills, and waterjets, further honing her skills in precision manufacturing. Taylor also served in the Army National Guard as a Forward Observer.
Taylor’s dedication to manufacturing excellence is not limited to her professional pursuits. She actively engages in home renovation projects, showcasing her craftsmanship and attention to detail. Her exceptional achievements were further acknowledged with the esteemed Betsy Johnson Award.
